About the Game
TERRA Roleplaying Game - First Edition, is my take on the 5th Edition (5e) rule set and how I use them at my tables. Due to the page count of the source material, I have comprised the rules set into two volumes: Hero's Handbook and Referee's Reference (a single volume version of the game will also be provided). However, the focus on this game is to lean into rulings instead of rules which support the game.
The World of Terra
In general, my game worlds are based on the Renaissance Era and how it would have been with magic infused into it. As such, the classes and backgrounds reflect this and complement this ruleset.
Style of Play
- Solo
- Cooperative (CoOp)
- Guided
The Oracle
If your a referee, cooperative, or solo play group an oracle is used to help with specific situations which require input outside of your discussion making. They can help alleviate decision paralysis, but require non-vague or obscure player input in order to generate a useful result.
Hero's Handbook
This work is comprised of my player homebrew options over the years.
Species
Dwarf, dragonborn, elf, halfling, human, gnome
Classes
- Barbarian - Battle Rager who gives out a battle cry.
- Bard
- Cleric - Devote magic-users
- Druid - Natural/ Primal magic-users
- Fighter
- Mechanist - Non-magical skill monkey
- Monk - Pscionics based non-weapon fighter
- Paladin - Oathbound warriors
- Rogue
- Sorcerer - Bloodline magic-users
- Warlock - Pactbound magic-users
- Wizard - High studied magic-users
Each class has a number of subclasses to choose from at 1st, 2nd, or 3rd levels.
Background
This is what your character was doing before they completed their heroic event.
Magic
5e magic can not distinguish between the arcane and psiconics, so I accept this and focus on subclasses which have psionic abilities.
